The battle concluded, the Abyssal Searcher and its crew are lost to the dark void of the sea. Bl;ind ambition has claimed a terrible price this day, as many lives have been lost on both sides. The destruction of the bulk of both navies' forces has at least stopped the war and rebellion. Can a new understanding emerge from this catastrophe and the cycle of violence be broken? If so, are there those with the wisdom, foresight, and experience to lead the people from these dangers? No one has the answers to these ultimate questions, but there are two today who at least hold out some hope for the future. And hope, like a breath of air, is one of the few things that can rise and reach the surface.

SEA ZONE: In the future, a nuclear exchange has left the surface of the earth inhabitable. Foreseeing this possibility, the United States government constructed a series of underwater habitations known as SEA ZONEs to provide refuge for a portion of the population.

Life is harsh beneath the waves, and every day survivors are reminded that the ocean floor was no place meant for mankind. Despite that the underwater inhabitants persevere and attempt to make a life for themselves in a new world.
